From vague requests to ready development tasks

The point where a business request becomes a task a developer can start without another round of questions.

Problem
Requests reached developers as raw complaints; tasks bounced back for clarification
My role
The single point where a request becomes a task
What I did
Clarifying interview, check of current system behaviour, spec with repro path, priority against SLA
Result
Tasks reach development ready to start, without another clarification round

The situation

Requests from the business arrived as complaints or one-line wishes. Developers sent them back with questions, and each round cost days.

What I changed

Every request now passes one step before development. I interview the requester, check how the system behaves today, write the spec with a reproduction path and acceptance criteria, and set a priority against the service level.

What it gave the team

Tasks reach development ready to start. Developers spend their time building instead of asking.
